Preseason to start on July 13




The first team begins preparations for the 2015-16 season on July 13, when they are due at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper for the routine physical and medical tests before they begin training.
The five players that are going to the Copa America (Bravo, Neymar Jr, Dani Alves, Messi and Mascherano) will not be expected back until a little later, depending on how long their countries remain involved in the tournament that has just started in Chile.
2015 International Champions Cup
Luis Enrique and his players will spend a whole week at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper before they fly to the United States on July 19 for the 2015 International Champions Cup. The recently crowned treble winners will be facing Los Angeles Galaxy, Manchester United, Chelsea and Fiorentina between July 21 and August 2 in the cities of Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington and Florence (Italy).
Two Super Cups
In August, as well as the Joan Gamper Trophy on a date and against a team yet to be decided, Barça also have some official fixtures in addition to the league, which is due to start towards the end of the month. On August 11, they play Sevilla for the European Super Cup in Tbilisi (Georgia) and will also be playing the two legs of the Spanish Super Cup against Athletic Bilbao on dates yet to be decided.

Ugwuanyi receives panel’s report on Nimbo killings

Promises to implement recommendations Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has received the report of a Judicial Commission of Inquiry set up to carry out a whole-some investigation into the killings and destruction of property that occurred in Nimbo, Uzo Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State, when persons suspected to be herdsmen attacked the community on April 25, this year. Receiving the report of the five-man panel inaugurated on May 12, Governor Ugwuanyi thanked the members for the diligence exhibited in carrying out the task and promised to implement their recommendations. “I wish to assure you all that government will accord this report, the seriousness it deserves and will promptly and firmly, implement any approved recommendation or recommendations in the report to ensure that justice is done to all concerned and in the overall interest of our people,” he said.
