The first leg matches of the preliminary round of the 2015 Caf
Champions League began on Friday, with Morocco’s Raja Casablanca
crushing Congolese Diables Noirs 4-0, while Al-Ahly Tripoli and CO
Bamako recorded fair wins at home.On Saturday, 11 games were played, with Cote D’Ivoire champions Sewe Sport suffering a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Guinean side AS Kaloum, while Recreativo Libolo of Angola overcame Sanga Balende from DR Congo 3-1.
On Sunday, nine instead of 10 matches took place. Ghana’s Asante Kotoko were given a walkover following the withdrawal of East End Lions of Sierra Leone from the competition.
USM Alger of Algeria defeated Foullah Edifice of Chad 3-0 to hold a stiff lead ahead of the second leg. Two-time champions Enyimba of Nigeria also claimed a 3-0 victory over Beninese Buffles Borgou.
